Home Sweet Home

We are home. We got home Friday night around 11:15 PM. I am so glad to be home. Eventhough we are leaving again Thursday to go with the church to the Creation Museum. I have gotten everything put up and the laundry done. Good. Here are some pictures of our trip.

Washington, DC

We are now in DC. We took a short 2 hour tour of the city this afternoon. It was great. We went on one of those open-top buses. When we came back to our hotel we had to take a city bus. It came a downpour before we got back. We ended having to run two blocks in the pouring rain with no umbrella. The streets were flooded in some places and we got absolutely soaked...all the way to our skin. It was s funny and kind of fun for me, but the kids didn't like it, at least Mary Elizabeth. Christopher was laughing. We are going back in the morning to actually get to see the sights up close, then on to NC to get Granny and then home. We should be back Saturday. See you guys Sunday.

New York City

Hey guys. We made it to New York City on Sunday night. We stayed in Queens at the Comfort Inn. We spent the day in Manhatan on Monday. We took a complete tour of the area. We also shopped on Canal Street. We got some purses and shirts. I got a Prada and so did Mary Elizabeth. We also rode the boat to see the Statue of Liberty. We had lots of fun. The kids liked riding the Subway in and out of Queens and Times Square. We also took the kids to "M&M World" they had a blast. We left for Hershey, PA on Tuesday. We are in Hershey now and we have been to the Hershey Chocolate World and it was fun. We saw the 3D show, went on the tour, took a tasting tour, bought stuff from te gift shop, and of course got some chocolate. It was fun. Now we are at the hotel and fixing to take the kids to the pool if it is empty. We will be leaving sometime tomorrow to go on to Washington, DC and do some sightseeing there. I will update you all later on the rest of this trip. Hope all is well with all of you.

Oh yeah, almost forgot, On Sunday while we were still in Towanda, PA we had an interesting experience, one I never want again. I figured out just because it says Church of Christ doesn't mean it is our kind of church. We went to church at Granville Center CofC. It was an out of the way country looking church, no air conditioning. They had a piano, played it during the singing, they had 3 young people sing a praise song with the cd player, they played the piano during the passing out of the Lord's Super and other things. I wasn't sure if we should leave or stay. We ended up leaving since I was very very very uncomfortable. It was very strange.

Towanda, PA

We are in Towanda, PA for the wedding. We arrived yesterday around 1 PM there time. We are busy so far. We went to the sit down rehersal dinner last night at the country club. Towanda is a small old town and the country club is small as well. The kids did very well on the drive up. They have tried to be alittle bit unrully, but I have stopped it before it gets started. This afternoon we will be going to the wedding and reception. Then tomorrow we will go to church and then on to New York. Have a great week.
I left Barry at home and he has already been late for the Youth Rally twice. I guess he needs me more than I thought. Hopefully it is not a sign about him getting to work on time next week. We will see. I will post more later.

My arm is FREE again!!!! yeah!

I just got back from the orthopeadic doctor who did my surgery. He said everything has healed well, but I still have to be careful with it and no pulling, pushing, or picking up for a few more weeks. At least it is not wrapped up like a mummy anymore. It does have a ugly scar and lots of bruising, but that will go away. That everyone for the concern and well wishes it has been appreciated.
