The past week.

I haven't gotten to do as much walking and exercise as I usually do. I had other things take over. First Christopher has to go to the doctor for his ear infections and sinus infection. He is much better. Then My grandmother had surgery andis doing better she is still in the hospital. Wednesday Mary Elizabeth went for her check up. She weighs a whole woppin' 53.8 lbs and is 49 inches tall. She had a good check up. Then Thursday I had to work 1/2 day at Corner. Then Friday we went to get our taxes done, but I did get my walk in first. And I lost .4lbs this week. I guess I broke the 1.4 trend. Not what I wanted to lose, but at least it is a loss. Since other factors have weighed in on my weight loss today. YEY!!!
Then this afternoon I went to the track and walked 3 miles with Kim, Blake, Belinda and Caylee-Grace, while Mary E, Christopher and HP played in the field. I feel alot better now after the walk.
See you in the morning.

Updates

Christopher is doing much better. He says his ears do not hurt, but he still has the cough and a little runny nose now. No more waking up at night screaming. My grandmother came through surgery well and did well They said they got all the cancer and it had not spread as faras they could see. They said of course they had to wait to see what the report says when it comes back from today. Thank you all for your well wishes.

11:15 PM Screaming

Well last night at about 11:15 we were woke up by screaming. Yes, Christopher, who usually never wakes during he night, woke us up screaming. He was crying that his ear hurt and he was congested in his nose. We gave him some tylenol and allergy meds and about 45 minutes later he fell back to sleep in our bed, of course. He woke this morning a little whiny. I didn't send him to school and called the doctor at 8AM. They made him an appointment for 9:15AM. We went to see Dr. Walley. He diagnosed him with, per the print out sheet, Otitus Media and Sinusitus. Which we would call 2 ear infections and sinus infection. So he gave us a prscription for a high antibiotic for 10 days. Anything for Christopher to get better. He also said as long as no fever he can go back to school tomorrow, which he hasn't run any fever the whole time.
Also, my dads mom, Betty Hutto Mize is having surgery tomorrow morning at UAB West for colon cancer. They said she has a tumor in there and needs to be removed, so she will haveit removed in the morning. I am not close to her, she is not one that is easy to get close to. But eventhough I plan on being there is Joan or Red can get Christopher from school for me tomorrow.

Hope everyone has a great week.

Baby Cakes, Puppies, Teddybear Breakfast and weight loss

Well this is a combo post. To start with last Saturday I was able and thrilled to make 3 11 x 15 cakes and decorate them for a friend of mine at church who is expecting her 1st baby next month. It was alot of work, but I really enjoyed it and was thrilled to do it. It took me several hours since I had to bake 3 and let them completely cool before I could decorate them. I was really happy that she liked them, but I didn't expect anything other from her. She is such a sweet and kind person, that even if she didn't like them she would have still appreciated them. They were made for her tea. Congrats Candace and Ashley, I cannot wait to see the beautiful baby.
Next, the Puppies are ready to be given away if anyone wants one. They are free, just let me know.
Next, Christopher's school had their annual Teddybear Breakfast Friday. This is where the children bring a bear to school the day before ad let it spend the night. Then when they get back the next morning they get to see what kind of mischif the bears got into. These bear were on the flag pole, at the top of bookcases, in the candy bucket with candy all over their faces, climbing on the tv and vcr at the top corner of the room, and the ceiling fan and so forth. Then they get to eat breakfast with their bears. They had a blast. I don't have pictures, beacuse my camera battery died as soon as I tried to take the first picture.
Last, weight loss. I lost 1.4 pounds this week. I guess I am on the 1.4 pound mark for awhile since I lost the same last week. Maybe next week will be more or different, as long as it is a loss. This is 3 weeks in a row that I have lost and I am determined to make it last.

Celine Deon and Weight Loss

Well Thursday night I went with Lauren and her family to see Celene Dion. It was great. The impersonator at first was ok, he would have been alot better if he had left the ugly words and the suggestive movements and language off. She was great. We were way up in the nosebleed section, 6 rows down from the very top. They were good seats, we could see very well and had a great time. Thanks Kyle for the tickets and Lauren for inviting me. Half our church were a few sections over from us as well.
I weighed in this morning and lost 1.4 pounds. I am back on track and on my way to helping my team win the scale back Alabama contest. I hope they are all doing well as well. I know from reading Lori's blog that she lost I think 3 pounds Tuesday night. Congrats girl.

Scale Back Alabama and Friends

Well Chee-vee, Lori, Kim and I decided we would sign up for the scale back alabama program today. We went after church this morning and lunch to Jasper to have our official first weigh in. We are committed to a 10 week period of trying to lose as much weight as we can in the hopes to be our own "Biggest Losers". Wish us all luck and encourange us all to keep up and not give up on this plan. My plan is to lose at least 10 pounds over this time period, but ultimately I would like to lose more. I hope I can at least meet y first goal, but would be ecstatic to lose more. I am all excited and up for the challenge. ood luck to the rest of my team members. I am proud to be a part of your team, Chee-vee asked us all if we wanted to do it, so I guess she is our leader.
Wish the "Fluffy Floozies" luck. Haha, bet you can't guess the originator of the name. I think it is cute and fun.

Weight loss in the New Year.

As most of you know I have been on Weight Watchers for a few years now. This past year I got a little off track and didn't do what I should. Well I have made up my mind that this year I would get back on track and stay there. I weighed in today and had a 7 pound weight loss for a total of about 105.6 pounds total. I plan to stay on track this year and maybe get most of the remaining off. Those of you who see me make sure I am staying on track, of course in a nice way. Love ya.

Walking and Twilight

Well after helping get the children out of the cars an to class at Christopher's school this morning I went across the street to Dora park for my daily walk. A friend was there and had only completed one lap, so I join her. We walk two mile with a non-stop conversation about Twilight the movie verses the book. Our dislikes and our likes, what we would have done differently and who we would have played Bella and what not. It was so fun and the time slipped by very quickly. Then another friend, whom we just found out is pregnant with 2nd child, joined us. We did 3 miles before we had to go. When the other friendjoined us we go on a discussion about Christmas gifts from husbands. They were so funny. ne was saying he gave her cookware and it did not settle good with her. She said that she mentioned that she was going to get them some new cookware and he took it as she was asking for it for Christmas. She said it was not a hint for present, that is something you just go get when you need it. I tend to agree. The other said she got cowboy boots, because he said she said she liked her sons boots, and he thought oh I get her some. She took them back and got her a pair of boots she actually liked. How fnny are some husbands. I got a mp3 player, but I picked it out on the day after Thanksgiving and he paid me back for it. So I guess some husbands just can't figure out what to get on their own. After 13 years of marriage I have just given Barry a few ideas and let him get them. No surprises for me, unless someone out there can give him some ideas next year that may surprise me...

It's Back to school again.

Well the children started back to school today. 5 more months for this year. I cannot wait. Anyways, we got back into the swing of things this morning. They were both excited and ready to go. Mary didn't eat all day at school, which is not good since she doesn't need to lose any weight(maybe gain a few pounds). Oh to have that problem!!!! Any way every thing seems to have gone great. No homework other than reading 15 minutes. Christopher had two girls in his class have a birthday and they brought cupcakes. He didn't want any.
I was able to go for a walk this morning after dropping him off. I got in 2 miles, before I thought I needed to go since it looked like the bottom was going to fall out any moment. I needed it and enjoyed it. Hopefully I will be able to walk every morning this week and maybe some in the afternoons if I have someone to go with.
Hope all had a great day. I also start teaching my Junior Leader class for Lads to Leaders this Wednesday. Wish me luck since the age range for the class is k - 5th grade. I am looking forward to it.
