Sunshine Girls

We recently took a group of our girls from church up to Childhaven, a place were children live who are orphans and unwed moms, to deliver them some school supplies. Our girls collected a lot of supplies for these children and they loved going to deliver them to them. I know they will come in handy. And our girls get a great feeling of helping others when they do things for others.

We also had our Sunshine Girls back to school party this past Saturday. It was at Christy Knights new home. She was so wonderful to open her home to all of these girls. We had a lot of girls and mothers show up for this. We had plenty of food and fun. Christy, with the help of the older Sunshine Girls like Anna, Lydia, Amber and Meagan, set up a scavenger hunt for the girls. They had to find I think 5 different school supply items and the first one to get all of the items won the prize. The winner was Taylor. The girls got to keep the items they found. The girls also had fun playing with bubbles, jump ropes, and other toys.
